Not 1 not 10 but 30 seeds did my mandarin contain.

So the “google weird pictures top 3″ for today. 2 out of 3 are animals and I don’t really know what the weird bubble thing is. I guess the internet is full of weird stuff.

The miracle of rope

Rope has been around as long as men and women can remember. Yesterday I got some rope myself from my dear girlfriend who wants to prepare me for our sailing trip. So the moment I started practising knots with the rope I totally lost my self in the “miracle” called “rope”. I know it sounds a bit silly but in our daily life we forget how great and beautiful simple things like a piece of rope can be.

Just a few examples of the miracles that rope can perform:

Used for knots
Used to tie up a criminal
Used for tractor pulling
Used for Tug o war
Used to restrain animals
To trip people
To jump over
To hang yourself
For personal use

You see there are so many things you can do with rope. And you know what the greatest thing is? There is no end in sight for the use of rope. Our children and our children’s children will still be using rope on a daily basis. Of course at a certain moment rope will be replaced and sometimes is already replaced by steel cables or a weird kind of fiber. But hey, ever tried to make a knot with a steel cable? Sounds like a superman-only ability to me.

Anyhow, next time you tie someone up or pull a donkey with a rope just stand still for a moment and think:

“It’s a small miracle called rope”

I was just wondering when i was reading this:

The Roman Catholic archbishop of Los Angeles has said his archdiocese will sell its main office to raise money to settle lawsuits for sexual abuse.

Cardinal Roger Mahoney also said some 50 other buildings could be sold to settle hundreds of lawsuits brought by people who had been abused by priests.

Unlimited growth? Does it exist or not. The internet is growing every second i am typing this message. It’s probably not possible anymore for anyone to know everything that is found on the internet.

I wonder when the internet will stop growing and what will be the reason of the growth stop.

* Too much data?
* A better “thing” then the internet
* Or something very destructable?

Anyhow I guess that 21ste of November 2059 will be the first day that the amount of data on the internet will decrease?

Running on air.

Yesterday I went for a run in the park. I just purchased some very nice high tech nikes for a very nice price so that motivated me to go for a run. Cause, hey, if you have something new, you want to try it out. So i started running and right in the beginning I noticed that the bounce factor or “air” in these new shoes was astonishing. I used my previous pair of running shoes until the sole almost disappeared, so this new super duper “air”sole made a huge difference in my running performance

I thought this was interesting knowledge to share.

Never wait too long before you buy new running shoes!

This morning I woke up realising that after ten years of internet activity, making a few hundred websites and spending most of my time at work and at home online I still did not have my own personal website. Of course I made some attempts to make one. I started my own linkpage, tried blogger.com and made my personal hyves profile (if that counts), anyhow all of these attempts where not really succesful. Of course I learned that to actually set up something about myself was a lot more difficult than setting up a forum about marketing or a site about mortgages, womens underwear or hotels. Maybe people disagree with me but writing about yourself and from yourself is kinda difficult, especially on the internet where 99% of the people is super anonymus (or at least they think they are).

So this blog is my final attempt to put my personal blabla and thoughts on the internet. Maybe you will read it and enjoy it, maybe you won’t , maybe you will stop reading after this sentence. Anyhow today is Sunday the 12th of may the day that this “crazy” dutch guy will start his “personal” online adventure.
